Archive Exhibition - Coffee Morning

Former staff, alumnae, parents and friends attended a Coffee Morning at the Calne Heritage Centre

On the morning of Wednesday 26th April, as part of our 150th anniversary celebrations, we gathered with former staff, local alumnae, parents, and friends for a Coffee Morning (with special 150th cupcakes!) at the Calne Heritage Centre to enjoy 'The Footsteps We Walk In - a short history of St Mary's School site', a fascinating display of the history, stories, and photos of St Mary's Calne from our school archives.

Painstakingly researched and compiled by our School Archivist and alum, Elizabeth Christie (Harker, 1968 Leaver), the exhibition presented a fascinating insight to the history of the school site. The display has attracted many people who enjoy connections and wonderful memories of St Mary's.  To see a digital version of the exhibition, please click here.

Our Coffee Morning was the perfect opportunity to explore the exhibition, reconnect with longstanding friends and colleagues and share memories and stories from their time at Calne. These recollections and memories, with others collected throughout the year, will be published in a book to celebrate our special anniversary.

Our great thanks to the Calne Heritage Centre for their support in staging the exhibition and for enabling us to host the coffee morning at the centre.
