The MFL Travel Photography Competition was launched in the Summer Term 2023. Pupils were invited to submit a photograph from recent travels and describe why the moment and place that they captured on film was significant to them.
We were delighted to see the range of magnificent locations captured, which included Kenya, Indonesia, France, the Bahamas, and Bolivia, and enjoyed reading why the locations were memorable to the photographer. Congratulations to the winning entires and huge thanks to everyone who participated!
The winning entries are:
Fourth Form
First place - Bellastar (UIV) - Lantern Festival in Taiwan.
Fifth Form
First place - Arabella (now LVI) photo of Junkanoo in the Bahamas.
Runners-up - Sophie (UV) with her photo of El Mercado de las Brujas in La Paz, and Sage (UV) with her photo of a fisherman off Vis Island in Croatia.
Sixth Form
First place - Bea (LVI) for her photo of Watamu in Kenya.
Runner-up - Connie (UVI) with her photo of Salamanca Cathedral, Spain.
