Lottie, a current pupil at St Mary’s is running the Oxford Half Marathon in October, in memory of her Father.
“On October 15th I am running the Oxford half marathon. This year I am running it to raise money for the British Heart Foundation, I am running for BHF as in February I sadly lost my father due to undetected heart disease, this came as a shock to us as a family and everyone who knew him because he was a very fit and healthy man, due to a dedication to rowing. I would like to raise as much money as possible for BHF in the hope that it could prevent situations like what's happened to my family, from happening to others. Any donations would be hugely appreciated! My father came to my half marathon last year to support me and was extremely supportive so I couldn’t think of a better event to raise money for BHF. I hope to achieve a personal best, to do him proud whilst running it in his name.
Any donations received would be greatly appreciated. As only £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, BHF can help create new treatments and discover new cures, helping to halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK. Thank you for taking the time to read this, I really appreciate it.”
