Last Thursday, our UV (Year 11) pupils had an opportunity to speak with eight guests from a variety of career sectors at a Careers Networking event.

Our special guests enjoy careers in Finance, Law, Project Management & Business consultancy, Architecture, Nursing, Army Officer Recruitment, Animal Care and Charity Sector and Optometry.

In small groups, the UV had opportunities to speak with our guests and ask questions about their career journey and ask for 'top tips' on pursuing their future careers.  This was very useful ahead of the Sixth Form Fair, helping them think about what A Level choices they might consider.

There were lots of fabulous questions asked and our guests were extremely impressed with the quality of questions and the UV’s very mature attitude.

Our Special thanks to Mr John Bracegirdle, Miss Charlotte Acton, Miss Emily Potter, Mr Nathan Greenan, Mrs Sonal Khimji, Mrs Emma Harrison, Mr John Armstrong, Mrs Hollie-Anne Gale and Mrs Wendy Mant for supporting this event.

If any parents or family friends would like to be involved in any of our career events, please do email Mrs Paddock kpaddock@stmaryscalne.org for further information, she would be delighted to hear from you.
