What a way to start the year! On Sunday, there was much excitement as Calneval came to St Prisca's Field to celebrate the start of the new school year and the school's 150th anniverary, with the special treat of our very own fun fair!
On the Friday before, the buzz around school was building as the iconic tower of the helter skelter was being built. Now to hope that the bright sunshine we were all enjoying would last until Sunday!
Sunday arrived and, after a brief refreshing rain shower, the sun appeared from behind the clouds and Calneval commenced!
Kindly sponsored by the PGSM, Calneval was a wonderful opportunity to see the girls have so much fun together, looking refreshed after the summer break and renewing friendships. The fun fair featured the gorgeous vintage-style helter skelter, the traditional favourite of chair o' planes, classic dodgems, crazy golf, total wipe-out and, for the brave, the Adrenaline! To add to the fun fair atmosphere, the girls were also treated to popcorn, candyfloss and ice cream.
With sunshine and smiles, fun and lots of laughter, Calneval was a brilliant start to the term, with lots of staff also getting into the swing of things! The MIV agreed that it was so much fun and their favourite ride was the Adrenaline! Thank you to the PGSM for organising and sponsoring this event!
