On Tuesday 7th February, five of our Springboard students were invited to Westminster School in London to have a reception in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Anne, courtesy of the Royal National Children's Springboard Foundation (RNCSF).
The students went as representatives of St Mary's Calne and had the chance to meet with their respective scholars' programmes and youth groups that introduced them to the Springboard Foundation.
As a charity and organization, Springboard gives children life-changing opportunities by awarding bursaries and scholarships to more than 120 leading schools in the UK to children who need them the most or would have otherwise not been exposed to them.
Meeting The Princess Royal was a really fun and very enlightening; we were all impressed with her approachability and interest in our students. It was very nice speaking to her about the amazing experiences our girls have had at Calne so far and enjoying the delicious tea.
