With the help of the Adelman Foundation, I was very fortunate to have been able to study at St Mary's Calne for the Sixth Form. The two years were an incredible experience, and through all the opportunities the school has given me I have really been able to develop as an individual and feel ready to make the most of all the prospects that I now have thanks to my education. I found the dedication of the teaching staff at St Mary's remarkable, and I really enjoyed continuing all of my subjects to A Level and gaining a greater understanding of these which - fundamental before degree level. I am now excited to be continuing my education at Oxford University, studying engineering science at Lincoln College.
My sister, Alice, who is currently studying Biochemistry at Oxford, was also the recipient of a bursary, including significant support from the CGA and the school. Sixth Form is such an important stage in our education and, as a family, we would like to thank The Adelman Foundation, St Mary's Calne and the CGA for giving us the opportunity to attend one of the leading schools in the country.
I feel very privileged to have been able to study at St Mary’s Calne and I am very grateful to the Adelman Foundation for making this happen; hopefully, I am now well on the way to fulfilling my ambition of becoming a doctor.
